Alongside our commercial work, Millennium installs, services and repairs air conditioning in homes across Newcastle, North Shields and the wider North East. The engineers and the standards are the same ones our commercial customers rely on.
Most home systems are heat pumps, so the unit that keeps a bedroom or home office cool in summer can also take the chill off it in spring and autumn. Getting the size and position right for the room matters more than the badge on the front.
Wall-mounted split systems for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and conservatories.
Multi-split systems running several rooms from one outdoor unit, useful where there is not much space outside.
Garden rooms and outbuildings, where a small system makes the space usable all year round.
We also service and repair systems we did not install.
Every installation starts with a visit. We look at the room, where the indoor unit can go so the air reaches the places you actually use, where the outdoor unit can sit, and how the pipework will run between the two as neatly as possible.
You then get a written quotation setting out the equipment, where it will be fitted and what the work involves. Nothing is ordered until you have agreed it.
Quiet where it matters. In a bedroom or a home office, how loud the indoor unit is matters as much as how well it cools. We will talk you through the options rather than fitting the cheapest unit that fits the space.
Handed over properly. Once the system is commissioned we show you how to use the controls and what it needs to keep running well.
A home system needs less attention than a commercial one, but it still benefits from regular servicing. Clogged filters, dirty coils and a slowly falling refrigerant charge all make it work harder and cost more to run long before anything actually fails.
We service and repair domestic systems whether or not we installed them.
If a unit has already stopped working, get in touch and tell us what it is doing. More on servicing and maintenance.
Bedrooms that are too warm to sleep in. Home offices full of heat from computers. Loft conversions and top-floor flats under the roof. Conservatories and garden rooms that are unusable on a sunny afternoon.
We work across Newcastle upon Tyne, North Shields, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham and Northumberland. If you are not sure whether you are in our area, ask us.
Worth reporting rather than waiting on: the system running constantly instead of cycling off; a noticeable drop in how cold or how warm it will get; water dripping from an indoor unit; new noise, rattling or vibration; ice forming on pipework; or a smell on start-up.
Any of those usually means the system is working harder than it should, which shows up on the electricity bill long before it becomes a breakdown. More questions answered on our FAQ page.
Tell us which rooms you want to cool, and we will arrange a visit and come back with a written quotation.
