Straight answers about coverage, maintenance, breakdowns and quotations. Where something depends on your site rather than on a general rule, we have said so rather than given a figure that would not hold.
If your question is not here, telephone 0800 952 0081 and ask.
North Shields, Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland and the wider North East. We also work outside the region for existing customers whose estates extend beyond it. If you are not sure whether we can reach your site, telephone and ask — we would rather tell you straight away than leave you waiting.
Yes. Most of our work is commercial — shops, kitchens, bars, offices, production facilities and healthcare sites — but we also install, service and repair air conditioning in homes across the North East. More on domestic air conditioning.
Commercial refrigeration — cold rooms, walk-in chillers and freezers, display cabinets, cellar cooling and kitchen refrigeration. Air conditioning and heat pump systems. Commercial catering equipment including warewashing, cooking equipment, extraction and ice machines. We also cover the controls, ventilation and temperature monitoring that go with them.
Yes. A large part of our maintenance work is on systems we did not install, including equipment inherited with a building or left behind by a previous contractor. We do not restrict servicing to our own installations.
Yes. If equipment has failed and stock, service or safety is at risk, telephone 0800 952 0081. That is the quickest route to us. Please do not rely on the contact form for a breakdown — form submissions arrive in an inbox and are read during office hours. See Emergency Repairs for what to have ready when you call.
We will talk the fault through with you, establish what the equipment is doing and what is at risk, check whether there is anything safe and simple worth trying at your end, and agree what happens next — an attendance, a parts order, or advice on protecting stock meanwhile. You will get a realistic picture at the time of the call rather than a fixed promise made before anyone knows what has failed.
Scope and visit frequency are agreed per site and set out in writing before the contract starts, because a busy kitchen and a quiet office do not need the same thing. A planned visit typically covers performance and temperature checks, cleaning of condensers, filters and coils, electrical and control checks, moving parts, drainage and defrost, and a written record of what was found. See Servicing & Maintenance.
It depends on the equipment and how hard it works. A cold room in a busy kitchen with constant door traffic needs attention more often than a cabinet in a quiet stockroom. Rather than quote a blanket figure, we look at the equipment, how it is used and what a failure would cost you, and propose a frequency on that basis.
Yes. We survey the site, establish what the space and the load actually require, and specify accordingly — capacity, layout, controls, monitoring, and how the system will be maintained once it is in. You then get a written specification and price before anything is ordered.
Both are worth considering, and the answer is rarely automatic. Age, the cost and availability of parts, running efficiency, and how much the equipment matters to your trading all come into it. We will tell you when a repair is the sensible option, including when that means less work for us.
Yes. Multi-site work is a long-standing part of what we do — several of our longest-standing customers run estates of shops and kitchens covered by a single agreement, with visits scheduled across the sites.
Telephone or send us the details through the contact page. For anything beyond a straightforward like-for-like replacement we will normally want to see the site first, so that the price reflects the actual job rather than an assumption. We will confirm the basis of the quotation with you before arranging a visit.
Form enquiries go to info@millenniumrac.co.uk and are read during office hours. If your enquiry is urgent — equipment down, stock at risk — please telephone 0800 952 0081 instead of using the form.
Still not sure? Tell us what equipment you run and what you need doing, and we will come back with practical options and a written quotation.
